Christmas Day

Jesse and I wanted to make our first Christmas a memorable one. We went to an ice exhibit, and in this picture, the arch way is made of ice. So may cool things we got to see...but it was freezing!! Also, this ice sculpture exhibit was at the Gaylord Texan Resort. This resort is very significant as this is where Jess proposed to me after a wonderful dinner and fireworks show :) What a great way to celebrate Christmas.

I love this picture :) As you may be able to tell, Jesse did not want to get his picture taken. This was before his relay marathon with some guys in his police department. It is a good thing I got this before the marathon, because my dreams of becoming the ever encouraging and supportive wife were shattered, when he crossed the finish line, I went to get the perfect picture- the sun got in my screen...and all I got was the pavement. Ah well, maybe next time!

This is a more updated picture of the fam :)

Our blog wouldn't be complete without our little buddy. Jesse and I got this cute little guy before we were married to keep both of us company, after our marriage, as our schedules our total opposites. His name is Bojangles and he has been an absolute delight! Well...I should say that Jesse and his roommate really raised him in his puppy phase and there were times - where I worried he wasn't cute enough to get away with all his shenanigans:) I guess that all three boys finally came to an agreement and when I walked into the picture - he was all potty trained and well behaved!

Some more pictures

Unfortunately the camera we planned to use to take awesome pictures with, was missing its memory card (thanks to a member of my family:)) So, we had to replace it with 2 disposable cameras. The first one worked okay - many of the pictures came out blurry - and the other one, ruined all our pictures. So with much frustration I present you with some of the only ones we have.

The day after visiting the Mayan Ruins, we went scuba diving. Jesse is a certified diver and did just fine. I got a ten minute introduction. At first my ears wouldn't pop - very uncomfortable feeling. Then the rest of the time was spent trying to stay with everyone else as the instructor didn't give me enough weights. We improvised by sticking rocks from the ocean into my jacket. It helped somewhat - but I am anxious to try it again, hopefully, with better results.

The Honey Moon

Jess and I went on our honey moon to Playa Del Carmen. Such a cool place. In this picture, we swam out as far as we could, to enjoy some waves, and to burn off some calories. The restaurants at our resort were crazy good :)

So Texas was a smart move :)

I moved to the lone star state in September of 2007. After several months of orienting myself to the Dallas area...I met this boy. The first date was a total success, and I came away from it thinking that I had never had so much fun. Almost a year later Jesse and I were married in the Boise, ID temple. Pretty cool day.
